He is survived by: his parent Hazel Bell Derby (Sheffield); his grandfather Gustav; his daughters, Diana Derby Chapin of Jackson Heights and Beverly Derby of Landers; his grandsons, James Derby Chapin of Jackson Heights and David Sheffield Derby of Burlington; his great grandchildren, Malcolm Andrew Chapin and Althea Rose Chapin; and also, Linda Monroe of South Bend and Kenn Derby of Silver Spring.
