She was predeceased by: her husband John "Jack" Bortz of Ithaca. She is survived by: her brother Dale Clapper (Shirley) of Freeville; and her children, Elby Eckert of Fallbrook, CA, Lynn Chambers (Don) of Himrod, Kip Townsend of Ithaca, Jim Townsend (Penny) of Ithaca and Terry Townsend of Ithaca. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
