James Kirby Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Kirby (Ithaca, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 15, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth LaFrance and Jerome Kirby. He is survived by: his wife Jeannine Wood; his children, Anita Kirby of Groton, Keith Kirby of Groton, Linda Kirby Evans, Marcy Kirby Avramis and J. P. Kirby; his grandchildren, Rachel Bogardus, Kyle Bogardus, Vasili Avramis, Mia, James "Max" Avramis, Adam Avramis, Paul Kirby and Jake Evans; his great grandchildren, James and Kennedy Evans; and his siblings, Tom Kirby and Kathleen Kirby. He is also survived by three nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Church (309 Siena Dr, Ithaca, NY 14850). A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
