She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Tammy, Lisa, Paul, Jan, Steven and Jennifer Ferguson (Syd); her grandchildren, Ryan Michelman (Alexa), Retana (Fernando), Gavin, Brooke and Spencer; her great grandchildren, Nicholas James Michelman and Graham Nyhuis-Salzberg; and her siblings, Dennis and Dorothy Higgins (James Higgins). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
