He was predeceased by: his former wife Mary Blum (Carr); his siblings, Frederick Blum (Lucille), Margaret Polley (Joseph) and Edward; and his niece Donna Kemp (Blum).

He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Maryanne Matejcik (Jack), Barbara Robinson (Peter) and William, Jr.; his stepchildren, Donna Reed, Michael Reed, Thomas Reed and Mark Reed (Lee); his grandchildren, Jaclyn Posta (Christian), Paul Matejcik (Jennifer), Maureen Radcliffe (Jeffrey), Jane Matejcik (Hank Hibbert), William Robinson (Navah), Ashley Robinson (Sean Tyree), Ryan Reed and Christopher Reed; and his great grandchildren, Maddy Posta, Claire Posta, Jack Matejcik and Nora Matejcik. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
