She was predeceased by: her sisters, Natalie Keyser (Sherrill) and Elizabeth Knaust (Herman). She is survived by: her children, Christine Cassel (Thomas), Lawrence (Jennifer) and John of West Irondequoit; and her grandchildren, Joseph, Bradley, Thomas, Jack, Robert and Rebekka. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Irondequoit Foundation, 321 List Avenue, Rochester NY 14617 which provides teachers' grants, or The Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word, 597 East Avenue, Rochester NY 14607.
