He was predeceased by: his wife Christine Pogoda (Schmitz); his cousin Dennis Pogoda; and his parents, Joseph Pogoda and Mae Pogoda (Werner). He is survived by: his children, Stacey Pogoda (Carlos Bonfante) and David Pogoda (Michele); his brother Paul Pogoda (Paula); his grandchildren, Cai (Bonfante), Chloe, Joseph, Max, Sophie and Cecelia (Pogoda); his former wife Terry Pogoda; his cousins, Lauren Puccia and Kathi Pogoda; and his caregiver Linda Bookstein. He is also survived by Several step children, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Fragile X Foundation or a charity of one's choice in John's memory.
