It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Madafferi Kelly of Ionia, New York, who passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Peter Madafferi, Jr.; her husband James W. Kelly; her son Peter Madafferi II; her grandson Michael P. Madafferi, Jr.; and her parents, A. Raymond Bennett and Mary Bennett (Woolston).
She is survived by: her children, Mary Beth DiProspero (Vincent "Jim") and Michael Madafferi (Peggy); her grandchildren, Jerry Rathbun, Michaele O'Connor (James), Brenna Stanley (Justin), Colleen Madafferi, Samantha Madafferi, Shari Rugenstein and Vinnie DiProspero (Tracy); and her brother Ronald Bennett (Patricia). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Inc. (2 South Ave, East Bloomfield, NY 14443). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 43, Ionia, NY 14475.
