He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Jones and Louise Jones (Carpenter); his wife Bertha; his children, Marvin, Keith and Martha Jones; and his grandson Kenny Steinruck Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Ralph Jones (Rhea), Darla Hathaway (Louis), Tom Jones (Joyce), Charlene Champion, Tim Jones and Jim Harrington. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and large extended family.
