He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Austin and Lelia Anthony Austin; his former wife Beverly Wheeler Austin; his granddaughter Shyann Weber; his sister Shirley Dean (Ken); and his brother-in-law Norman Wead.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy Trout Austin; his children, Frank Austin of Chicago, Judy Fritts (Dakota) of Millport, Molly Sierzenga (Patrick) of Auburn, Lisa Phinney (Brian) of Fulton and Bethany Calkins (Benjamin) of Interlaken; his grandchildren, Cheianne Webster, Julia, Owen Sierzenga, Bradford, Bowden Calkins and Ellie Phinney; and his sister Bonnie Wead.
