It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eva Van Gelder of Interlaken, New York, born in Marion, New York, who passed away on November 9, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Crayton and Millie Crayton; her husband Clint "Sonny"; her daughters, Cheryl Whitcomb and Debbie Watkins; and her stepson David Lancaster.
She is survived by: her children, Penny Williamson (Jackie Lance) of Califon, NJ, James "Ducky" Matthys of Interlaken and Jeffrey Matthys of Jacksonville, NY; her grandchildren, Will, Josh, Shane, Danielle, Matthew, Jackie and Courtney; her sister Gerry Dekdebrun of Marion; her daughters, Rhonda and Ginger (Bob); her stepchildren, Chris, Peggy, Larry, Bobby, Linda and Ronnie; and her pet Bella. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
