It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard J. LaPorte of Inlet, New York, born in Tupper Lake, New York, who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adleor LaPorte and Emma LaPorte; and his siblings, Maynord LaPorte (Boogo), Beulah Heroux and Dorothy Brigham.
He is survived by: his wife Marie LaPorte (Laursen); his children, Lori Wilson (Mike), Shelly Skripnichuk, Ricky LaPorte (Millie), Wayne LaPorte (Kim), Michael Hand, Heather Hand and Crystal LaPorte (John Best); and his siblings, Shirley Delmarsh, Wayne LaPorte (Punny) and Linda Helmer (Tom). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
