With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shane C. Buchanan of Ilion, New York, born in Hamilton, New York, who passed away on December 18, 2022 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph G. Buchanan and Janet I. Buchanan (Rice). He is survived by: his daughter Shannon; his son-in-law Richard Lawlor; his son Ryan; his daughter-in-law Cassandra Buchanan; his grandchildren, Richard Lawlor, III, Malachi Buchanan, Brody Gonyea, David Buchanan and Miranda Sue; and his siblings, Sherry Slocum (Ken), Susan Laliberte (Roger), Darin Buchanan, Devon Buchanan and Aaron Buchanan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.
