Salvatore J. Geloso Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Salvatore J. Geloso of Ilion, New York, who passed away on November 15, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo Geloso and Anna Geloso (Terras); his son James Geloso; his siblings, Eanus Geloso, Joseph Geloso, Frank Geloso, Rose Fell and Julia Robel; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Robel, Harvey Fell, James Gorman, Michael Conte and Genevieve Geloso.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his children, Patricia (Tim Schumacher) and John Geloso; his grandchildren, Adam Waldo (Kaleena), Stacey Hood (Matt), Nicole Toach and Justin Paul (Janice); his great grandchildren, River-Nicole, Winter-Rose, Vinny, Hannah, Henry, Liam, Jace and Leilene; his sisters, Joan Conte and Marion Gorman; and his sisters-in-law, Luella Geloso and Maureen Clancy.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Annunciation (50 West St, Ilion, NY 13357).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sam's name to the HARC (Herkimer Area Resource Center), honoring his dedication to community service and his lifelong commitment to helping others.
