It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lucille Elizabeth Smith of Ilion, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on January 12, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arlean Harris Holden and Typing; her husbands, Bill and Willard F. Smith; her children, David H. Smith (Joan) of Merrick, NY, Martha S. Regelmann, Patricia LaFontaine of Ilion, NY and Donald Brightsmith (Gabriela) of College Station, TX; her grandchildren, Melanie Sandquist (Aaron), Keith Regelmann, Michael Smith (Kristin), Katie Smith (Mike) and Amanda Lucile Brightsmith; her great grandchildren, Luke and Jack Sandquist; her sister-in-law Miriam Hardy; and her nieces and nephews, Georgia, Rob, Ruth, Jim and Clara.
Even when face-to-face visitation was no longer possible due to COVID, they facilitated window visits when possible as well as regular Facetime conversations.
As a continuation of her humanitarian and environmental concerns, Lucille would have been grateful for any donations to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in Ithaca NY or Emmanuel Episcopal Church, in Little Falls, NY.
