Joan Joy Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 2, 2023, at the age of 88, Joan Joy of Ilion, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James McKenna and Julia McKenna (McCoy); and her siblings, Mary Greenfield (Vincent), John McKenna (Nira) and Edward McKenna (Dorothy).
She is survived by: her husband Joseph "Joe" Joy; her sons, Joe, Douglas Joy of Herkimer, Joseph Joy (Lori) of Ilion and Andrew Joy of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandsons, Patrick Joy (Leah) of Fredricksburg, TX, Alex Joy (Maree) of Rome, Adam Joy and Andrew Joy of Herkimer; and her great grandchildren, Bentley, Elizah and Payton. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, as and expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Charities of Herkimer County, 61 West St., Ilion, NY 13357.
