He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred LaPorte and Florence LaPorte (Charbonneau); his son Michael Scott LaPorte; and his sisters, June and Yvonne.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Leuenberger; his children, Jennifer Burton (John) of Newport, Tammy Stone (Chad Daley) of Ilion and Christopher; his grandchildren, Andrew "Toots" (Hilary), Nicholas, Zachary, Emma and Chad Jr. "Peanut"; his great grandchildren, Andrew Jr. "AJ" and Abigail; his siblings, Rhonda Chaput of Beachburg, Ontario and John; and his sister-in-law Martine LaPorte of Beachburg, Ontario. He is also survived by numerous niece, nephews and cousins.
