We bid farewell to George Maley Jr. of Ilion, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 22, 2025 at the age of 94. George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Maley and Beatrice Maley (Bartunek); his son Steven Maley; and his sons-in-law, Ted Mowers and Scott Holden.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara M. Willse; his children, Lee Maley (Kim) of Ilion, NY, Lynn Mowers (Ted) of Ilion, NY and Lois Holden (Scott); his daughter-in-law Kim Maley (Steven) of Ilion, NY.; and his great grandchildren, Steven, Heather Maley, Christopher, Kaycie Maley, Eric W., Christina Hall, Shelly Hall, Christian Boniforti (Nathan) of Wellington, FL, Adam, Bobbi Hall, Matthew, Jenn McCann, Luke McCann (Amber) of San Francisco, CA, Kyle, Cassie McCann, Esther Holden of Scarborough, ME, Graham Holden (Grayson) of Liverpool, NY, Tyler and Sara Maley. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home (100 Otsego St, Ilion, NY 13357). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George's honor may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Oneida, Herkimer, and Eastern Madison Counties, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413.
