He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Goodman and Miriam Goodman (Bates); and his niece Ellen Hoage. He is survived by: his sister Phyllis Prentice; his nephews, Howard C. Moss (Kathy), Arthur H. Moss (Mai) and John W. Moss (Teresa); his cousin Millie; and his close friend Dale Nicodemus.
