It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald T. Brien of Ilion, New York, born in Cold Spring, New York, who passed away on March 24, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Wales Brien and Anna Burns Brien; his parents-in-law, Randall and Louise Safford; his siblings, Robert Brien and Peggy; his siblings-in-law, Bill Loomis and Barbara (Richard McGraw); and his grandchildren, Kylie Dunckel and Caleb Brien.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Safford; his children, LouAnn Roberts (Rich), Barbara Seeger (Chris), Randall Brien, Donald Brien (Karla), Jodi Dunckel (Dave), Michael Brien (Erin) and Patrick Brien (Kate); his sisters, Irene Brien and Diane; his brother-in-law Melvin Kubecka; his nephew Rich (Leslie McGraw); and his friends, Dave and Annette Parker. He is also survived by son, 30 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
