He was predeceased by: his parent Louis Arata; his son David Arata; his brother John; and also Jack. He is survived by: his parent Esther Vicovari Arata; his spouse Ann K. Cloonan; his children, Thomas Arata, Robert Arata (Christine) of Kingston, NH, Catherine Plumb (Brian) of Hopkinton, MA and Patrick Arata (Lisa) of Montclair, NJ; his grandchildren, Elise Arata, Kate, Matthew, Daniel Plumb, Stephen Arata, Alexander Arata and Emily Arata; and his siblings, Marylou Wajda (Walter) of Hyde Park and Vincent Arata (Kathie) of Hyde Park. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
