He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Jane Schmitt, Barbara St. Claire, Robert Sowada, Martin Sowada and Kristin Yanez; his stepchildren, Valli, David, Vivien and Vaun; and his daughter Susan Sowada.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am, October 31st at Regina Coeli Church, Rte. 9, Hyde Park.Burial of his ashes with military honors will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
