It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine M. Way of Hyde Park, New York, born in Kingston, New York, who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Burgher and Mary Burgher; her husband William R. Way; and her brother Charles Burgher of Shokan, NY.. She is survived by: her pet Jacob; her son George Way Jr. (Christene) of Staatsburg; her grandchildren, Justin Way (Meagan), Courtney Way and Trevor Way; her great grandchildren, Hudson and Haven Way; her stepgrandchildren, Caitlin Morrow and Brendan McGann; and her sister-in-law Dorothy Hughes of Hyde Park, NY. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Elaine had such a love for her dogs and cats, therefore the family respectfully requests memorial donations to be made to the Dutchess County SPCA, 636 Violet Ave, Hyde Park, NY 12538, Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home Inc. Rt.9, Hyde Park, NY.
