He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lucas and Mahelcha Prusick Lucas; and his siblings, Ken Lucas, Lillian Hatlee and Amelia Fay Platt.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Long; his children, Jeffery Lucas (Loretta Hill), Patricia Houston (Colin) and Steve Lucas (Maureen); his grandchildren, John Lucas, Emily Gasperini (Dan) and Hannah Lucas; and his great grandchild Cecelia Gasperini.
