We are sad to announce that on December 27, 2020, at the age of 100, Ann Britton Sweeney (Hyde Park, New York), born in Sharon, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry and Bessie A. Rooney Britton; her husband Edward Charles Sweeney; her stepmother Loretta Wade Britton; her daughter Ann Elizabeth; her siblings, George, John Britton, Isabelle Iness, Loretta Cullen, Beatrice Jamieson, Charlotte Biggart, Wynola Pelton and Sara Leehey; and her grandson Hobie Simpson.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Sweeney (Ann), Mary Amandolare (Jack), Joan Liebowitz (Rich), Ed Sweeney of Aurora, IL, Elizabeth Kolthay (Fred), Mike Sweeney (Kim) and George Sweeney (Cathy); her grandchildren, Ed, Heidi, Bari Liebowitz, Lynn Spencer, Beth Bain, Steve Sweeney, Laura Springer, Sarah, Matt Amandolare, Carrie, Jeff Meade, Matthew, Amy Sweeney, Timmy, Michael, Kevin, Kacie Sweeney, Charlie, Tommy, Danny Sweeney, Sam and Freddy Kolthay; and also Dee. She is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
Due to COVID, services were private.
