It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Miriam May Smith (Hurley, New York), born in Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on October 14, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Havens and Edith Havens (Sickles); her husband Bernard Smith; and her brothers, Elmer, Lester and Donald Havens.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Smith (Maria) of Virginia, Guy Smith of Rochester, Diane Marie Lane (Joseph) of Hurley, Christian Smith (Leah) of Hurley, Judy Smith of Hurley, Lance Bernie Smith of Hurley, Valerie Therese Hill (Phil) of Woodstock and Terence Smith (Manit) of New Paltz; her siblings, Edith Watson and Roy Havens (Judi); and her sisters-in-law, Rose Havens and Carol Dunn. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
