He is survived by: his wife Shannon Rice; his mother Maria Contento Rice; his siblings, Tammy Rice Nelson and Jacob Travis Starmer (Mindy); and his nieces and nephews, Nicholas Patrick Nelson, Erin Elizabeth Nelson, Shannon Nicole Nelson and Ellanora Gilda Starmer.
