He was predeceased by: his wife Athena (Snyder); his son Rodney; his brothers, Milton, Lloyd and Edgar; and his parents, Delvin Groelle and Linda Genz Groelle.
He is survived by: his daughter Cindy Sumerano (Dino) of Hurley; his brother Harlan (Jackie) of Grayslake; and his grandchildren, Daniela Sumerano, Lia Rutski (Thomas), Alissa Sumerano (Justin Heavner), Daniel Murray and Christopher Groelle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In the interest of public safety and in keeping with COVID-19 guidelines, social distancing and masks are required at all times and guests may be limited in the funeral home.
