He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Hetherington and Florence Wilkinson Hetherington; and his brothers, David and Stephen Hetherington. He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Amy Hetherington; and his sister Linda Kimak. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
