She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John Catlin; her stepchild Ivory Wilson; her goddaughters, Erykah Davis, Miss Melissa Kenan and Patricia Posillico (Joseph K. Posillico); her parents, Alfred Burton and Betty Burton; and her sisters, Gladys Jane Burton Kenan, Mary L. Smith and Hattie B. Patrick. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, her great, great nieces and nephews and many cousins.
