She was predeceased by: her husband Clayton "Junior" Mead; her son Robert Allen Mead; her sons-in-law, Robert Schertl and George R. Loucks; her grandson Robert "Bobby" Schertl; and her parents, William McKinley Becker (Jack) and Mildred May Becker (Brownhill).
She is survived by: her daughters, Bonnie Schertl and Barbara Loucks; her adoptive daughter Gina Chun; her grandsons, Kevin Loucks (Kristin) and Brian Loucks (Lindsay); and her great grandchildren, Cade, Paige, Ellie, Aidan, Hannah, Ethan and Sadie. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Columbia-Greene Humane Society, 111 Humane Society Road, Hudson, NY 12534-3400, a cause dear to Violet's heart.
