She was predeceased by: her husband Lester Lawrence; and her parents, Louis Schafer and Una Schafer. She is survived by: her sons, Lloyd, Tracy (May Chin) and George (Sandy); and her grandsons, Ben and Alex.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chou's name to the Reformed Dutch Church of Claverack, Tower and Building Fund, Drawer K, Claverack, NY 12513.
