He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Donald Patzwahl, Michael and Mary Nicholson; and his uncle Thomas Nicholson. He is survived by: his nieces, Leah and Sophia; his parents, Robert Nicholson and Laurie Nicholson; his brother Lucas Nicholson (Monica); and his grandmother Marion Patzwahl. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, Nathan's family requests that donations be made to the Columbia Greene Humane Society.
