He is survived by: his wife Carole; his children, John C. Race Jr. (JR) and Melinda Race (Mindy); his grandchildren, Brittney, Tanner and Hannah; his great grandchild Alayah; and his sister Mary Lou (Timothy Race). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
