He was predeceased by: his parents, Francesco Russo and Nicolina Russo (Cariseo); his sisters, Mary Abitabile, Christina Sandagato and Carolyn Russo; and his nephew Michael Sandagato.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret E. Russo (Scalera); his daughters, Donna O'Neil (Frank) of Conway, SC and Michele Hutchings (Tim) of Hudson, NY.; his grandchildren, Tiffany, Franklin O'Neil of Conway, SC, Ian Hutchings (Brianna Jostlin) and Lina Hutchings of Hudson, NY; and his son Nicolas Pierro of Hudson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, cousins and Godchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sacco Funeral Home (700 Town Hall Dr, Hudson, NY 12534). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Trinity Parish/ St. Mary's Church (429 E Allen St, Hudson, NY 12534). A burial was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 12:50 PM to 1:15 PM at the Cedar Park Cemetery (20 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144).
