He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarabelle Murphy and Michael Murphy; his brother Michael W. Murphy Jr.; and his daughter Jennifer Murphy. He is survived by: his siblings, Harriett Leftwich, Patricia Race, Jean Race, Debbie Nostrand, Andrew Murphy, Kimberly Hayes, James Murphy and Melissa Schermerhorn; and his children, Charles (Andrea) and Alita. He is also survived by his grandchildren, and many other loving relatives.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bates and Anderson Funeral Home (110 Green St, Hudson, NY 12534). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Columbia County Veterans Service Agency and Columbia-Greene Humane Society.
