With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellsworth J. Rowen Jr. of Hudson, New York, who passed away on November 1, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth J. Rowen and Helen Marie Rowen Vavrina (Bray); his wife Ilona Rowen (Trowbridge); and his son Ellsworth "EJ" Rowen III. He is survived by: his children, Michael Rowen (Beth), Christopher Rowen (Casey) and Chantelle Scott (Edward); his grandchildren, Jett Rowen, Brianna Rowen, Meaghan Rowen (Adam Reese), Michael "Mickey" Rowen, Blaize Rowen, Sawyer Rowen, Samantha Kipp (Jason), Kyra Scott (Roman Michalko) and William Scott (Raven Helms); his great grandchildren, Jett "JJ" Rowen, Hayden Reese, Everett William Kipp, Ellory Rowen Kipp, Griffin Michalko, Sylas Michalko, Elijah Scott and Ezra Scott; and his siblings, John Rowen (Linda), Billy Rowen, Helen Stever and Marjorie Graziano.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sacco Funeral Home (700 Town Hall Dr, Hudson, NY 12534). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cedar Park Cemetery (20 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer, NY 12144).
