It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald J. Meltz Sr. (Hudson, New York), who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Donald has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Frank, Walter, Audrey, Joel and Robert; and his sister-in-law Bernice Richards.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Meltz (Theresa) and Denise Sheedy (Timothy); and his grandchildren, Hilary, Chloe, Isaac, Amanda and Ashley. He is also survived by eight greatgrandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bates and Anderson Funeral Home (110 Green St, Hudson, NY 12534).
