He was predeceased by: his former wife Anne A. Scott. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth J. Scott; his children, Carolyn A. Scott and Alexander L. Scott; and his stepchildren, Elizabeth Jacks and Robert Jacks.

“I was so sad to hear of Scotty's passing. The Scotts have always been a close family and it hurts to lose another of what I call "the founding members;" that is those of us who grew up with our mutual grandparents: Mary Anne and George Henry who were the first to arrive in the USA. I am Eric's daughter and I remember them, and Scotty so very well. I am eternally grateful to his help during the time my mother, Carol, was sick and died. I will miss him and send my love to you all.”
