He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Newton and Dorothy King; his brothers, John King and Frank Allen; and his foster siblings, Fran White and Harry Labaron.

He is survived by: his wife Debra King; his foster siblings, Dennis Howe of Florida, Vikki Perrino of Florida and Nancy Brownell; and his siblings-in-law, Leslie Bannon of Plattsburgh, Thomas Bannon (Martha) of Queensbury, Frederick Bannon of Queensbury, Edward Bannon (Carolyn) and Cindy Davis (Harold) of Glens Falls. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
