She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Hallenbeck and Bertha Hallenbeck (LaFountaine); her husband Rodger Ash; her brother Charles "Chuck" Hallenbeck; and her stepson Scott Ash.
She is survived by: her son Todd Simpson (Stephannie Siwik-Simpson) of Argyle; her grandsons, Darien and Fraser Siwik-Simpson of Argyle; her brother Kurt Hallenbeck (Kathleen) of Hudson Falls; her close friend Carol Mullen of Hudson Falls; her niece Dawn Hallenbeck of Florida; and her nephew Keene Hallenbeck (Ria).
Following her retirement, Cheryl was a dedicated volunteer for RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) driving people to their medical appointments, and, with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) filing taxes for those in need.
