He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustus Tyler and Beverly Murtlow (Hawkins); his stepfather James Murtlow; his sister Laurie Lloyd; and his stepson Jason Tucker.

He is survived by: his children, Brandon McIntosh, Orion Tyler, Braylin Tyler and Lilith Tyler; his granddaughter Paisley Sawn; his siblings, Amy Pechette, Neal Tyler and Mark Tyler; and his friends, Sherry Jay, Terri McIntosh Reyes and Glenn Wetherby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
