He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dorothy (Spaulding) and Gordon Bever, Sr.; his children, Melissa Brown (Jerry) of Sharon Springs, Cynthia Bever (Nancy Stoner) of Troy and Jeffrey Bever (Rebecca) of Howes Cave; his grandchildren, Tabatha Bever, Joseph Bever, Andrew Bever and Kyle Brown (Corinne); his great grandchild Jamie Brown; and his siblings, Robert Bever (Kathy) of Schoharie and Shirley Hagen.
