Smith of Howes Cave, New York, born in Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on April 25, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon L Ballard and Betty Jane Ballard (Riley) of Quaker Hill; her brother-in-law David McConnell; her great-nephew Ethan Price; her daughter-in-law Lori Smith (Patryn); and her brother-in-law Alvin L. Smith.

She is survived by: her husband Richard C. Smith; her children, Steven E., Erin Smith of Schoharie, NY, Benjamin M. Smith of Dallas, TX and Rebecca J. (Mark Maroney); her sisters, Denese J. Price (David) of Walworth, NY and Suellen Pentz (Chris) of Keyesville, VA.; and her grandchildren, Riley, Reece, Audra, Ian, Aidan Smith, Liam and Owen Maroney. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as step grand and great-grandchildren.
