With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Swift of Horseheads, New York, born in Elmira, New York, who passed away on February 13, 2021 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Conklin and Elizabeth Conklin (Livermore); her parents-in-law, Rebecca Carrier (Alan), Rachel Clark (Howard "Pat") and Marshall "Buster" Conklin (Bernice); and her former husbands, Albert Barnes and Charles "Bud" Swift.

She is survived by: her daughter Janice Bennett (Floyd); her grandchildren, Barbara Sturm (Robert) and Stacey Bennett (Karen Sinsabaugh); and her brother David Conklin (late Eunice). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Veteran Grange #1108, 777 Ridge Road, Horseheads, NY 14845, or to the Chemung County Humane Society SPCA, 2435 State Route 352, Elmira, NY 14903-7933.
