He was predeceased by: his mother Jean Silsbee; his sisters, Carol Briggs and Nancy Silsbee; his nephew Robert Comfort; and his parents-in-law, Anne and Allen Jamieson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie of Horseheads; his sons, Michael Silsbee of Spencerport, NY and Brian Silsbee (Stacy) of Binghamton, NY; his grandchildren, Owen, Leah, Rocco, Giana and Gabby Silsbee; his siblings, Lynn Silsbee of Elmira, Carl Silsbee (Lisa), Peggy Comfort (Gary) of Elmira, Janet Duval (John), Sue Deitrick (Don) of Elmira and Kathy Manchester (Jeff); and his siblings-in-law, Dick Jamieson (Kathy) of Horseheads, John Jamieson (Dianne), Mary and Judy Mercer (Wayne). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
