Ruth H. Atkinson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth H. Atkinson (Horseheads, New York), born in Orange, New Jersey, who passed away on September 7, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph W. Atkinson Jr.; her stepdaughter Lynne Greenberg Barrow; her brother Robert Heiles; and her sister-in-law Ruth Heiles. She is survived by: her children, Joseph W. Atkinson III and Gail Patricia Hicks; her son-in-law Anthony Hicks; her grandchildren, Nicole Lynne Borden (Philip Borden), Matthew Hicks and Elizabeth Hicks; her great grandchildren, Rachael Borden and Philip Borden; and also Wendy Swatling.
Memorial donations can be made in her memory to the Chemung County SPCA.
