He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eugene Murphy and Lillian Murphy (Glosson); his spouse Edward Thal; his children, Matthew Murphy (Kathy) of Massapequa, NY and Karen Evans (John) of Chester, VA; his stepchildren, Edward Thal, Jr. (Maureen) of Scotch Plains, NJ and Marcie Coffin (Peter) of Ridgefield, CT; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Courtney, Jackie, Jack, Sean, Will and Chip. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
