He was predeceased by: his brother Robert Bretz. He is survived by: his spouse June Duryea; his son John P. Bretz, Jr. (Pamela) of Horseheads; and his sister-in-law Linda Bretz of Rochester. He is also survived by three daughters: Faith (Bill) DeMarr of Canisteo, Susan (John) Wojack of Nunda and MaryLou (Charles) Elliott of Johnson City, 12 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
