With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John J. Kennedy (Horseheads, New York), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgiana Kennedy and John Kennedy. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Kennedy (Walthers); his children, Maureen Biscotto (Colin Gleason), Deirdre Bartholomew (Mark), Eileen Kennedy (Shawn Walsh), John Patrick Kennedy, Keith Nelson (Cathy), Judy MacWhinnie (Dave), Sally Roosa, Mark Nelson (Laurie), Kevin Kennedy and Molly Kennedy; his grandchildren, Micheal Biscotto (Chelsey), Quinn Biscotto, Mackenzie, Shannon Walsh, Luke Bartholomew, Joseph Nelson (Ashley), Valerie Joffe (Chris), Payton Nelson, Anna Nelson, Sean Nelson, Emily Roosa, Garrett Roosa, Ryan MacWhinnie (Nicki), Casey Howe (Jared), Sasha MacWhinnie and Brandon MacWhinnie (Kaitlyn); and his great grandchildren, Maisley, Aurora Nelson, Jordan, Logan Joffe, Kelsey, David, Brayden MacWhinnie, Aubrey, Axel Howe, Mia, Maddox MacWhinnie, Genevieve, Evelyn and Ronald MacWhinnie. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sullivan's Funeral Home (365 E Franklin St, Horseheads, NY 14845).
